HISTORY OF NEW SONG

New Songs poetically expresses the love and sacrifice of Elohim God. Every spiritual hymn is inspired by the truth of God's word in the Bible. New Song music is written and composed by singers & song writers from all over the world with a unified theme that transcends cultural and geographic lines.

New Songs are a collection of hymns and songs which originated in 1000 BC in the writings of King David. They were written as prayers of anguish, joy and thanksgiving related to the life experiences King David was faced with at that time. New Songs were written for the purpose of praising God.

"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." - Psalms 40:3
"Sing to the Lord a new song for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and holy arm have worked salvation for Him." - Psalms 98:1

New Songs are mentioned throughout history and contains historical record of the events that transpired during the time of prophet Isaiah (720 BC), Apostle John (97 AD), and the reign of King David.

"O Lord, how many are my foes!  How many rise up against me!  Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” (Written when King David fled from his son Absalom.) - Psalms 3:1
"Have mercy on me, o God, have mercy on me, for in You my soul takes refuge.  I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed." (Written when King David fled from King Saul.) - Psalms 57:1
"Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands and all who live in them."  - Isaiah 42:10
"And … the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb…And they sang a new song." - Revelation 5:8
"And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders." - Revelation 14:3

Music is a language that has transpired throughout the ages. It has the power to incite nations to go to war, yet can calm a crying baby. Since their creation, New Songs have been used to communicate and give praise to God, as well as to soothe the soul. When King David was in any situation either good or bad he wrote the psalms in thanksgiving.

Today, New Songs are written in the same fashion, the lyricists and musicians used to produce New Song have the same purpose as King David did 3,000 years ago, to praise God. They were and are written to exalt and honor God, not the author himself.
